Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalalgias (TACs) are a group of rare, primary headache disorders characterized by:

• Severe, unilateral (one-sided) head pain
• Cranial autonomic symptoms (like tearing, nasal congestion, eyelid swelling)
• A tendency to occur in short, repetitive bursts or with persistent background pain
